Description
Abstract in the Church...….The Church of the Revelation Hägersten Stockholm completed in 1961. The church hall:
Ralph Bergholtz, in collaboration with Randi Fisher, made the stained glass windows, a total of about 240 square meters. Ralph Bergholtz and Randi Fisher also made reliefs in the chancel and cross on the roof.
Centrally behind the altar, the window strip is wider and the stained glass windows are predominantly light blue. Above the altar, at the height of the grandstand, hangs a concrete slab depicting a stylized cloud with a cross in relief. On the opposite side is the organ. The grandstand is supported by five pillars on each long side of the ship. The floor of the church room is covered with limestone except in the aisle and the choir section where a cross shape has been laid with yellow floor bricks.
The architect has received inspiration for the church partly from Revelation of John, whose seventies recur in different ways in the church's architecture and decoration, and partly from Harry Martinson's drama about the spacecraft Aniara. It has been said of the church that "like a bright white ship with the course clearly marked in the Jerusalem cross on the ridge, she plows through the cliff.

The little creatures sitting in the abstract tree is quite an unusual object to find within a church. Lovely capture Rosita.
